Misoprostol is used not only for a couple with methotrexate, but also for self-induced abortion in the first and second trimesters. Self-use of misoprostol for abortion is widely practiced in some countries, however, while noting the large scatter of dosages used and there is some evidence of very heavy bleeding caused by the use of misoprostol. Conducted research in Cuba, 141 women with gestation of 10 weeks found that 83% of cases occurred after abortion using misoprostol, although about half of these girls had to perform a surgical evacuation of the uterus. Female self-administered 800 micrograms of misoprostol vaginally and left in a horizontal position for several hours. If abortion did not occur within 48 hours, the dose of misoprostol prisenyaemogo corrected.
